Look, I'll be honest here. I can no longer do M-rated shows. Well, I can do them but I'm a huge risk. I get complaints. I get warned. I get banned. I get grief... Just ask The Sydney Comedy Store, The Laugh Garage, The Melbourne Comedy Festival and countless corporate clients.
I used to be able to do M-rated shows quite competently from 1999-2002. For evidence check out my video section - especially 'The O'Loughlin show' and 'Headliners' clips. I even came third in the 1999 Sydney comedian of the year competition.
Since 2003 though, I've toured through many rough pubs in Outback Australia which has in turn evidently affected my act. It's taken me a long time to admit this but my idea of an M-rated show is now most people's idea of an R-rated show and my R-rated show is most people's idea of... well if you really want to know, check out my gig guide.
It's kind of like I've developed Tourette's syndrome everytime I step onto stage in front of an adult crowd.
I can, for some reason though still do children's birthday parties without complaints.
So yeah, it's only kid's birthday parties or R-rated shows for Jimbo from now on!! I won't let anyone book me for anything in between now.
...unless you beg me and offer to pay me a shit load of money!!!
